My husband Lorenzo was career military, in the USAF for 26 years. We lived in many places far distant from southern California nearly all the 55 years of our marriage. We came back to visit as often as we could. We were both stunned and thrilled when Karen and Leigh came to visit us! It was only the second time in 50 years that any family travelled so far to visit us. Karen was so beautiful and easy to love that even though we never spent much time together, I know how much her loss means to everyone who was close to her. We extend our deepest condolences to all her loved ones.

Whenever I attended event where she was present, she always treated me like a brother. She took special care to ensure I had food to eat and was enjoying myself. I miss my sister!

At a Christmas Pajama party Karen fell asleep on the sofa with her mouth open and my husband Eddie took pictures of her like that. When she woke up he showed them to her and she told him "if you post them on Facebook I'm going to let you have it" see our beautiful friend wasn't vsin at all, lol!!!
